Formed in 2008 in Limerick, Ireland, Zealot Cult are a four piece death metal band playing a style of death metal that has been described by many reviewers as harkening back to the glory days of the Floridian Death Metal scene of the late 80’s/early 90’s.
In 2016 the band released their ep “Karmenian Crypt” through Blood Harvest records which received rave reviews in the metal media and built anticipation for their debut album “Spiritual Sickness” which was released exclusively on all formats by Blood Harvest records and marketed and distributed worldwide by Regain Records in late 2018.
Zealot Cult have shared the stage with such legendary acts such as Pestilence, Atheist, Possessed, Napalm Death and many more legendary bands. In 2019, the band have completed a UK tour, a short tour of the east coast in the USA and are preparing for their appearance on the second stage at 2019’s edition of Bloodstock Open Air in Der, UK.
Zealot Cult also a couple of dates coming up in 2019 with the UK’s Memoriam (featuring ex members of Bolt Thrower and Benediction) and are working on a split ep with Canadian death metal band Tribe of Pazuzu featuring members of Pestilence, Cryptopsy and Incantation.
